Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was produced in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay who is director of drama and producer in St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna was a child and watched her mother while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk made several commercials while she was still a kid. In 1997, she earned a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two productions during the beginning of her career: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved in Toronto to pursue her acting career in order to advance, then after that, she relocated to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They got engaged in 2009 before getting married in a civil ceremony that was held in December. Following her conversion to Judaism, they renewed their wedding vows at an Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011, in Fredericton. Silk was blessed with a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born 13 May in 2016. Silk was nominated in 2009 for the Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. Her most notable role was as Bo Dennis, a succubus, as Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the filming of season three's finale, and revealed this to the viewers during the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th that the show was coming back in the production. Fourth season began on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples. E! named them the Top TV Couple in 2013.
