Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. When she was sixteen, she had secured prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was engaged in numerous important projects both locally and internationally. Some of these include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and the Cannes Film Festival.
