Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous shows on television. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominees featuring female stars. Alexandra's career has seen her be involved in a variety of significant national and international productions. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
